The Spiritualized Ego: When Ascension Becomes Avoidance

There’s a sickness in the spiritual community that no one wants to name. A bypass so clean, so polished, it hides in plain sight. It's not just narcissism. It's performative enlightenment. It’s the spiritualized ego—and it’s fucking dangerous.

You’ve seen it: People quoting Bashar while bulldozing your boundaries. Preachers of “radical compassion” who manipulate you into submission. "Empaths" who call you toxic the moment you stop letting them walk on you.

Let’s be clear:

“Love and Light” Is the New Oppression

You’re not better because you float above confrontation. You’re not wise because you won’t say “fuck off.” That’s not transcendence. That’s cowardice wrapped in glitter.

“They’re always like, ‘Take the highest path, seventh chakra view of everything. Always. How immature.’”

And then what? You’re miserable. Disembodied. Chasing bliss like it’s salvation.

“How’s that working out for you?”

Stop Telling Abused People to Hold Compassionate Mirrors

Let’s get this straight: if someone is actively hurting you, you don’t owe them your grace. You don’t owe them a reflection of your wisdom. You owe yourself a boundary.

“If someone is throwing bombs at me, I do not need to gently hold the mirror to them with grace. I need to go tell them to fuck themselves.”  -Starlite The Oracle

That’s not anger. That’s clarity. And clarity is a form of love.

The Cult of Toxic Positivity

While there might be significant overlap, there’s a cult far more dangerous than the dogmatic Galactic Federation fangirls who externalize their power. It’s the cult of “positive vibes only.”

“You’re running away from it, just screaming love and light into your echo chambers of toxic positivity.”

You don’t get to pretend you’re enlightened because you’re allergic to discomfort. You’re not ascended—you’re avoidant.

“Respectfully, go fuck yourself.”

If You Can’t Face Darkness, You’re Not Awake

Spiritual awakening isn’t just white robes and cacao ceremonies. It’s facing the black, putrid sludge inside you. It’s screaming in the dark until your own voice scares you—and then kissing the mess.

“They literally can’t handle the actual darkness.”

If your spirituality doesn’t include grief, rage, trauma, shadow, and death, it’s not real. It’s a costume.

You Need a Healthy Ego Before You Transcend It

Nobody talks about this enough: You can’t transcend something you never stabilized.

“We want to get people to have a healthy ego, away from the spiritualized ego.”

“As the ego continues to find stability… you’re able to integrate your shadows and then, as a result, start naturally transcending it—without fucking pedestalizing transcendence itself.”

It’s not about killing the ego. It’s about growing it the fuck up.

Real Light Can Handle Darkness

If your “light” can’t sit in the dirt with the broken, the bitter, and the brutal—It’s not light. It’s spiritual cosplay.

You want to be enlightened? Then look at your own manipulation. Feel your suppressed rage. Name your unworthiness. And don’t fucking run from it.

You Can’t Build a New World With Your Head in the Sand

This isn’t personal. It’s planetary.

We are in the middle of a spiritual revolution, and the new culture cannot be built by people pretending they’re already above it all.
