The Spiritual Worker’s Dilemma: Why They Want Help But Don’t Want to Pay You

It’s wild out here. People are suffering, seeking, spiraling—and still acting like spiritual work is optional. Like coaching, healing, or mentorship should be free because “it’s your calling.” Nah. Your therapist charges. Your plumber charges. But when it comes to your trauma? Suddenly everyone goes broke.

“How do you make an income as a hierophant or a shaman? Like, it’s fucking hard, you know.”

Let’s get real. We’re living in an empire built on artificial scarcity, emotional neglect, and spiritual drought. People are starving for meaning, for transformation, for liberation—and yet when a healer shows up with the roadmap?

“They’re crying out for help, but won’t pay for it.”

The disrespect is real.

People will drop $70 on a bottomless mimosa brunch to distract themselves from their pain. But $70 on the person helping you stop abandoning yourself? That’s “too expensive.” That’s “gatekeeping healing.”

“Go back to jerking off to your porn then.”

Harsh? Maybe. But sometimes truth stings. Because what we’re really confronting is the discomfort people feel when they’re asked to value something invisible, powerful, and inconvenient: their own healing.

And it’s not just about the money—it’s about energetic exchange. About recognizing that the person walking you out of hell didn’t get there on a yoga mat. They got there through the fire.

“You gotta pay to play, baby. For real.”

We’re not selling enlightenment in a bottle. We’re offering a path that requires you to look inward, drop the mask, and show up for yourself. That’s the cost.

And it’s not just a spiritual worker problem—it’s a cultural crisis. A society that pays influencers to peddle emptiness but balks at investing in transformation is spiritually bankrupt.

“You didn’t care when you had the chance.”

So when the world collapses (again), and you’re scrambling for food, meaning, and leadership—will you remember the ones who warned you? The ones who planted seeds while everyone else was sedating?

Because the shamans, the hierophants, the oracles—you know, the real ones—will be the ones holding the line when the veil drops.

And we won’t be doing it for clout. But we won’t be doing it for free either.
